Traveling, camping, running, anything active.

What’s something interesting about you that not a lot of people know?

In 2013 I ran the Twin Cities Marathon.

Why did you decide to pursue a career in education?

I want a career that is challenging and rewarding with the opportunity to work with students.

What do you enjoy most about working with students?

I love working with students from many different backgrounds helping them reach their goals.

Share a fun project you've worked on or innovative teaching method you've used this year. What made it memorable for you?

In fourth grade we have our Game Fair where students design and create a video game. Students also have to create an advertisement and figure out how many tickets to charge for other students to play their game. We set up booths in our cafeteria and invite the rest of the school to come check out our Game Fair and give each student 5 tickets. Our fourth grade students will try and persuade other students to play their game. In the end, our fourth grade students count the number of tickets they received and create a bar graph on the number of students from each grade level that played their game. This year we will have our 5th annual Game Fair!

What do you enjoy about being part of Faribault Public Schools?

I love being part of Faribault Public Schools because of the students and staff that I work with. I love coming to work!
